Use CoHear for an In-Person Meeting
A phone recording is the beginning. Reviewed decisions and clear next steps are the useful result.
This guide connects an in-person meeting to a review workflow in CoHear. For device choice, microphone placement and a full recording checklist, use the in-person meeting recording checklist. Here the focus is what to do with your recording and transcript.
Before the meeting: agree on the recording
Explain why you want to record, who will receive the notes and how the material will be used. Confirm consent under local and workplace rules before recording. If recording is not appropriate, take written notes instead.
- Check battery, available storage and your current plan limits before starting.
- Place the phone where it can capture the people you need to hear. Make a short test and listen back.
- Use the app's recording workflow for the room conversation. If you already have a recording you are permitted to use, import the audio instead.
After recording: review the transcript first
Open the transcript for the completed recording. Check names, amounts and speaker attribution against what you heard. If a line is uncertain, tap the sentence to replay its audio and listen to the surrounding exchange. Do not treat a speaker label as verified identity.
Create notes, then check the commitments
Use a generated summary to locate the main topics, then review every decision and action item. Did the team agree, or was somebody making a suggestion? Was an owner named? Was a date confirmed? Leave missing details unresolved until a participant confirms them.
Share only the checked material
Choose the output your audience needs and review it before sharing. Keep sensitive information within the agreed audience and retention rules. Consult security information and current recording limits rather than assuming every plan or meeting has the same conditions.
