Tap a Transcript Sentence to Replay the Audio

Return from a line of text to the recording before you trust a quote, number or commitment.

CoHear supports sentence-level audio navigation: tap a sentence in the transcript and the recording jumps to that sentence. This helps you return to the source when the exact words matter. It does not certify that the transcription or speaker attribution is correct.

Check a line in three steps

  1. Open the transcript associated with your recording and find the sentence you want to check.
  2. Tap that sentence to jump to its audio, then listen to the words and the nearby context.
  3. Compare what you heard with the claim you plan to use. Correct your working notes or mark the detail as uncertain if the recording is unclear.

Listen for more than the words

Check whether the speaker was asking a question, offering a possibility or accepting a commitment. Verify names, quantities and dates. A sentence isolated from the exchange can change the meaning; listen around it before copying it into a report.

Use it where a mistake would matter

  • Interviews: replay a quotation before attributing it to a participant.
  • Meetings: verify an action owner and deadline rather than inferring them from a summary.
  • Lectures: listen again to a definition or formula before adding it to study notes.

What replay cannot fix

Playback cannot recover a voice the microphone did not capture or establish the identity of an ambiguous speaker. If voices overlap or a detail is inaudible, flag the uncertainty and ask for clarification. Do not fill the gap with a confident guess.
